People have been telling me I should write a book for years.  I finally listened.  Part memoir, part love letter to Texas Music. I tell my story through the songs and moments that shaped this music scene and all those who love it.  There are pieces of everyone's story in here.  

While Still Here is my story, it's also the story of the artists, venues, festivals, friendships, and people that make up the fabric of the scene. It's about the rise of Galleywinter (and Texas/Red Dirt Music), the lessons learned along the way, the people we've lost, and the ones who continue to show up year after year. For the songs and each other.

At its heart, this book isn't really about music. It's about community. It's about belonging. And it's about the people and songs who stay.
